I submitted the final manuscript, photos, permission forms, and other files to Indiana University Press this morning. There are still several months of work to be done, including technical edits, final layout, indexing and other such tasks, but the light at the end of the tunnel is visible and getting closer! Mahalo to everyone who shared their ‘ike (knowledge), mana‘o (thoughts), ki‘i (photos), and so much more as I embarked on this journey. It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly four years ago since this book was conceived. Kū Kia‘i Mauna!
